Dec 11, 2010:

Combined Mind commissioned us to compose an original soundtrack to this promo for Elsepage – a sweet score for piano, strings and french horn.  Super fast turnaround as we only had about a day to spare, but thankfully director Ross Webb of Mindway Media gave a great brief which made it lots easier.

Stuart Nicholas White (of David Morrissey’s Don’t Worry About Me) was Director of Photography, and James Abadi (The Story of ****) produced.

Here’s the video:

We’ve composed an original soundtrack for Nour Wazzi’s UK Film Council-backed short film Habibti, which stars Hiam Abbass (The Visitor, I Am Slave), Yasmine Al Massri (Caramel, Miral) and Jimmy Akingbola (Rev., Holby City).

Working closely with Nour, we pared the sonic palette down to a spare 5-piece ensemble, fusing Middle Eastern and Western elements to support the unfolding narrative and brilliant performances.

Here’s the full original soundtrack, plus a cheeky bonus unused cue!  ’Mama’ is a key cue, so check that first if you’re in a hurry…

Undoubtedly the only sensible thing to do now you have listened to the above is to move on to our full film soundtrack reel.

We’ve composed a quiet, balletic waltz soundtrack for Oliver Crowther’s Straight 8 short film Sleeping Lions.

The film’s ensemble cast includes Robert Sample. It was filmed in one take on Bexhill seafront.

Our score stars haunting organ as The Clown, music box as The Girl, and piano and violin as Omniscient Narrators. Listen past the gap for the full ending…
